The Warhol and Frankenthaler Foundations jointly committed $800,000 to support 80 visual arts organizations negatively impacted by the sudden suspension of the National Endowment for the Arts' (NEA) Challenge America grant program. This emergency funding ensures the continuation of critical community-based arts programs, which were in jeopardy following the federal grant suspension and a proposal to eliminate the NEA in 2026.

PITTSBURGH — In continuing its tradition of giving back to the community, Duquesne Light Company (DLC) has announced the latest nonprofit organizations to receive funds through its Community Impact Grants (CIG) program. The company is awarding $112,370 among 22 organizations in Allegheny and Beaver counties to support efforts in public art; green spaces; community safety and energy efficiency; and connectivity and technology.

This funding will support The Genesis Collective, a group of artists, advocates, and activists in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The Collective's mission is to support artists and their work, increase public access to art and creativity, and enhance community development through art.
